Tutored various subjects since 9th grade including, SAT Math, ACT Math, Integrated Algebra, Algebra 2 and Trig, AP Physics, AP Chem, AP Calc BC, AP Macro/Micro Economics. I want to be a tutor because learning is cohesive. When the information taught is synergistic and understandable it is much easier to retain than if it is taught for the sake of memorization. I feel like most teaching styles lend itself more so to memorization which puts the ability to tie information together at risk. Hobbies
I am interested in weightlifting and powerlifting as well as basketball and boxing. I also enjoy reading and listening to music. I produce music with my friends as a hobby which is one of my favorite things to do. Education reform is my biggest interest currently. My dream is to create my own school where I can cultivate a culture around education that is fun and desired. School is often times viewed as a negative institution. However, learning should inherently be sought out and desired. Human nature is curious and learning should be a medium that feeds into that curiosity. For me, tutoring is one of the first steps I can take to start this cultural change even if it is only one student at a time.
